Johnston and Sons are a small family business that takes pride in designing and creating quality handcrafted bespoke furniture & joinery. For three generations, our family have honed and perfected our unique craftmanship.

We are passionate about what we do and work in a small team that invests time and skill into every design project we take on. Every piece that we make is handcrafted to meet our clients unique specification and property. Our workshop and installation teams are fully committed to delivering truly exceptional bespoke furniture on time and on budget, ensuring a smooth process.

It is paramount that evert piece of furniture has a practical use as well as being aesthetically pleasing. As such, we create bespoke furniture that we are proud to have displayed. Having been trading for over 40 years, we feel privileged to enjoy long lasting relationships with interior designers, architects, property developers and homeowners, many of whom return to us for subsequent projects.

HOW WE WORK

DISCUSSING YOUR IDEA

Projects normally start with a discussion by email or over the telephone in order to determine the scope of your project.

CONSULTATION

Initial discussions are usually followed by an onsite consultation, which will allow us to take dimensions and understand and discuss your lifestyle and the space available.

INITIAL DRAWINGS

Following our site consultation, we proceed with preliminary design drawings and a cost for your furniture. We ensure you are happy with the designs and pricing before we move to more detailed drawings and starting your bespoke interiors project.

BUILD AND CUSTOM-MAKE

Detailed drawings are created and when you are happy with the design, the craftmanship will begin. Time scales will depend on the scope and complexity of the items being manufactured.

INSTALLATION

After the manufacturing is complete, we then proceed to install your handmade furniture in your interior space. We also liaise with other trades to make sure your bespoke furniture items are delivered and installed in a timely manner to meet your renovation and build project schedule requirements.
